DeskScapes 2.0 was released today. It allows for Vista users, no matter what version you are using, to have animated wallpapers on their desktop.
DeskScapes 2.0 brings video and dynamic Dreams to all Vista Users. If you’re new to DeskScapes today with 2.0, then you have over 600 Dreams to choose from! These range from fantastic 3D rendered scenes by community members such as TheMasterBaron, to dynamic Dreams that use virtually no system resources from Stardock Design. If you haven’t given DeskScapes a try and you’re on Windows Vista, you’ve just run out of excuses not to!
This Cosmos .dream was made to go with the Cosmos MyColors suite, but it’s a fine .dream all by itself. It’s very subtle, so this is perfect for people who don’t like a lot of movement on the desktop. For Vista users with DeskScapes.

The preview release of DeskScapes 2.0 has arrived!
Stardock is pleased to announce that the DeskScapes 2.0 preview version is now available. DeskScapes allows users of Windows Vista to have animated wallpapers on their desktop. It runs the Stardock created .DREAM format which can contain videos as animated wallpapers or dynamically generated content.
The goal of the preview version is to evaluate the variety of hardware configurations out there running Windows Vista in order to see how well different types of Dreams run. The three included Dreams were especially chosen to check out 3 very different types of capabilities.
One of the latest Master Skins from TheMasterBaron is Utopia Prime. It has become one of my favorite .dreams (animated wallpaper). It has a very subtle animation, but it looks fantastic on the desktop.

January started the year off great, and going in to February, submissions to the .dream gallery just keep getting better and better. We have several .dream creators starting to make quite a name for themselves, and I am still very excited for what we will see throughout the year.
